Founded in 1937 by Vitale Bramani, Vibram is an Italian company renowned for its innovative rubber outsoles, widely recognised as Vibram soles. The company revolutionised the footwear industry with the introduction of the first rubber lug soles, designed to provide superior traction and durability across various surfaces.

Inspired by the tragic loss of six mountaineering friends in 1935, Bramani 

developed the now-famous “Carrarmato” tread, which became the gold standard for mountaineering boots. Vibram soles have since been embraced by outdoor enthusiasts and professionals alike, making their mark on significant achievements, including the first successful ascent of K2 in 1954.

Today, Vibram continues to lead the industry with a diverse range of soles manufactured across the globe. Their products are used by over 1,000 footwear manufacturers and cater to various sectors, from fashion to military, rescue, law enforcement, and industrial applications. Vibram is also known for pioneering barefoot running with their FiveFingers line, which mimics the natural mechanics of being barefoot.
